Shirley Cherry has always been passionate about art and particularly attracted to portraiture, enjoying the challenge of capturing expressions, personality and mood. "I try to do this in all my art whether it is about animals or people."
Drawing was her original expression and it still underpins all her work, she has only recently turned to colour. "I was nervous about using paint and colour, but having taken the plunge there's no going back now. This is a love affair that's set to continue and intensify!"
